Today, after months of solo development from Iceland, TraderDynamiq is live.
It started with a question I kept asking myself after every losing streak: “How much did that actually cost me?”
Not the P&L number — I could see that on my broker statement. I mean the pattern. The revenge trades after a stop-out. The position sizes that doubled when I was frustrated. The trades I took outside my own rules. What was the cumulative price of each specific behavior, across all my trades, over months?
No tool could answer that. So I built one.
What TraderDynamiq Does
TraderDynamiq is a read-only behavioral analytics platform for traders. You import your trade history — from any of 67+ supported brokers — and the system does the rest.
Here is what happens after you upload:
28 Behavioral Detectors Run Automatically
The analysis engine scans every trade for patterns that cost traders money:
- Revenge trading — entering a new position within minutes of a loss, often with larger size
- Overtrading — excessive activity on a single day relative to your normal volume
- Stop-loss widening — moving your stop further from entry after the trade goes against you
- Premature exits — closing winners too early and leaving significant profit on the table
- Rule violations — trades that break your own playbook rules (which you define)
- Position sizing drift — gradually increasing risk without a deliberate decision
Each detector doesn’t just flag the behavior. It calculates the dollar impact — how much that specific pattern cost you, or in some cases, saved you.
Automated Verdicts
After detection, TraderDynamiq generates verdicts: plain-language assessments of each trading day, week, and month. No manual journaling required. The system writes the analysis; you review it and decide what to change.
The What-If Simulator
This is the feature I’m most proud of. The What-If Lab lets you ask questions like:
- “What if I had never revenge-traded?”
- “What if I had followed my stop-loss rules every time?”
- “What if I had sized every position at 1% risk?”
It replays your actual trade history with the change applied and shows you the difference. Not hypothetical trades — your trades, with one variable changed. The dollar difference is often sobering.
Playbook Rules Engine
Define your trading rules — max position size, allowed trading hours, required stop-loss, maximum daily loss — and TraderDynamiq checks every trade against them. Violations are flagged automatically. Over time, you can see whether your rule compliance is improving.
Performance Analytics
Beyond behavior, the platform provides comprehensive performance breakdowns:
- P&L by symbol, asset class, day of week, time of day, and holding period
- Win rate, expectancy, profit factor, and Sharpe ratio
- Equity curves with drawdown analysis
- Market-context correlation (how your results track with VIX, market regime, etc.)
What It Doesn’t Do
TraderDynamiq is intentionally limited in scope:
- No trade execution. It never connects to your broker with write permissions. Read-only API access or CSV upload only.
- No signals or recommendations. It does not tell you what to trade or when. It analyzes what you already did.
- No social features or leaderboards for external competition. Your data stays private. Leaderboards are anonymous and opt-in.
